MAKEUP

TOOLS

Most makeup products have brushes to match. Using the right brush provides better, more satisfying results and simplifies the application.

Basic, commonly used brushes include foundation, powder, blush, eyeshadow, lipstick and eyeliner brushes.

For an everyday look, these basics from Zoeva are AB FAB! For foundation I recommend using a blender, this gives a lovely finish to the skin. These can be purchased separately on the Sephora website.

FOUNDATION

Choosing the right foundation for your skin type is important for it to sit well on your skin.

For example, if you have oily skin you would want to choose a more matte foundation and have a powder handy to apply over your face to set the foundation.

If you have dry skin you would choose something more oil-based and moisturising, using powder if needed through your t-zone.

The Ordinary has a lovely range of coverage/matte shades and moisturising serum foundations to choose from. Also my recent favourite for everyday wear is the liquid foundations by FLOWER beauty!

CONCEALER

It all goes back to color theory and canceling out purples with peachy corals and redness with neutralizing olive greens. Pigment-rich correctors are the ultimate for correcting unwanted undertones, highlighting, contouring, and adjusting foundation color. The creamy formula provides full coverage to diminish the appearance of dark circles, blemishes, hyper pigmentation, scars, rosacea, and tattoos.
